PROUD Dean Windass has revealed he bust into tears as he watched son Josh walk out at Ibrox for the first time.
Josh, signed by Mark Warburton in 2016, spent two years with Rangers before joining Wigan last summer.
Despite scoring 18 goals in his final season, the attacker often split the Gers support.
But dad Dean – who played for rivals Aberdeen in the 90s – beamed with pride every time he watched him from the stands.
He told Open Goal: “When I first went to watch him at Glasgow Rangers I was the proudest man.
“People say when I scored the goal at Wembley that my dad was the proudest man in Hull.
‘DOUBT IT’ Danny Murphy would be stunned if Steven Gerrard left Rangers for Newcastle
“I went, ‘Yeah whatever’. I realise now. My dad’s not here anymore.
“I can’t remember. I think it was the Aberdeen game when they played at Ibrox.
“When I went there and they started singing Penny Arcade and that… I’m a cry baby me and I had tears in my eyes.
