A FORMER Rangers star could be set for a move Stateside once his contract expires in the summer.
The attacker left Rangers for the English Championship in 2018, and now looks set to move on a free.

Josh Windass, son of ex-Aberdeen striker Dean, signed for Rangers in 2016 from Accrington Stanley, going on to make 73 appearances and score 19 goals in his two years at Ibrox.
Eighteen of those goals came in an impressive season for the Englishman in 2017/18 as he joint top-scored for Gers with Alfredo Morelos, before he was let go during a clear-out upon the arrival of Steven Gerrard as manager.
Windass moved back down south and joined Wigan Athletic, where he stayed for one campaign before joining current side Sheffield Wednesday, for whom he scored the playoff-winning goal as they were promoted back to the Championship last summer.
The 30-year-old only has six months remaining on his current deal, meaning he can speak to interested clubs about a free transfer in the summer.
And American outfit Real Salt Lake are the latest club to be linked with a move, after Argentinian side Atletico Talleres were rumoured to be interested earlier in the window.
Last season’s surprise Liga Profesional runners-up were previously linked with Windass when former Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha was their manager two years ago, and are looking to make him the first Englishman to play in Argentina‘s top flight.
But The Star reports Utah-based RSL have expressed an interest to Wednesday about signing the star, although no official offer has been made.
Windass has been a key player in helping the Owls move to within four points of safety in the Championship, and remains relaxed over his future.
He told The Yorkshire Post: “I obviously know the situation going on with the transfer window at the minute with players coming in and there’s obviously, probably, more important things to sort out.
“To be honest, I just let my agent deal with all that sort of stuff. I am aware I am out of contract and obviously, when a player of my quality is on a free, then I know stuff like that is going to happen.
“I am just concentrating on trying to score goals and play well here, and I feel like I have been playing well.
“I am free in the summer, so I’ve obviously had offers. It’s nothing about location, it’s always about football.”
