JOSH WINDASS has described Kenny Miller as the HEARTBEAT of Rangers’ dressing room.
The former Scotland star was bombed out of Pedro Caixinha’s squad for their last clash with Hamilton Accies.
Miller, 37, is expected to return for the game against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.
And Windass said: “Kenny has been training with us as normal, nothing has been different here. Kenny is the heartbeat of the squad.
“He’s got a great attitude. He trains like a top professional every single day.
“The lads bounce off him when he trains and try to follow his example.
“He has helped me a lot. He has given me advice if I’ve not played well. If I ask him what he thinks, he will always give me an honest answer.”
Windass is a very conscientious boy, someone desperate to develop and improve.
Recently that’s seen him arrive early at Murray Park for swimming sessions.
He added: “I just started doing it this season. I’m quite tired in the mornings, so I like to try and freshen myself up before training.
“I swim, stretch — boring stuff, really. I come in just after 8am. There’s nothing particular behind it, it’s just something I like doing.”
Rangers’ Old Firm defeat to Celtic was a sore one for Windass.
But not as painful as boss Pedro Caixinha, who he wiped out on the touchline.
Windass added: “The clip has been in a few of my mates’ group chats! The gaffer laughed about it, so it was all right.”
