RANGERS star Josh Windass appears defiant over his controversial celebration – after posting a picture of it on his Instagram page.
The Gers midfielder – who gestured to the away support at Firhill after his brilliant opener against Partick Thistle – also limited comments on the post.
After the match, he wrote on Twitter: “Good win tonight and bounced back well from the weekend.
“Good to see Andy H [Halliday] back out there, very good tonight.”
And the Ibrox ace, who has scored 10 goals in 29 appearances this season, went onto like a tweet from a Light Blues supporter backing his celebration.
After posting an image of it, @GCullen90 said: “This doesn’t bother me one bit.
“Some of the comments on Twitter when they saw his name on the team sheet were ridiculous, as well as some grief in the stadium.
“Best way to shut them up – a goal and an assist.”
Rangers boss Graeme Murty didn’t see the incident but said he would speak to the 24-year-old about it.
Murty, whose side won 2-0, said: “I’ll talk to him about it and ask why he has done it, if he has done it.

“But to be perfectly honest I don’t know why Josh does many of the things he does.
“I’ll have a chat to him and see what he meant by it. But let’s talk about the goal — it was outstanding.
“The delivery and cross in was great.
“But then you need to execute and Josh has that execution of the highest order.
“And then in the next breath he will do something that makes you scratch your head.
“That’s the bit that he has to get right. That’s the bit he needs to sort out.
“He came into the office the other day and talked for 40 minutes about his game.
“He feels he’s been good but he wants to be great.

“We also spoke about him doing what he does in the back two-thirds of the pitch better, to make him more reliable for the team.
“Once he does that, I’ve no doubt lots of teams will look at him.”
