RANGERS boss Graeme Murty says he WASN’T happy with hat-trick hero Josh Windass’ performance against Fraserburgh.
The midfielder bagged a treble as Gers eased through to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
But he got a lecture from his frustrated gaffer after the match.
When asked if he was delighted with the former Accrington Stanley man’s display, Murty told Sky Sports: “Not really.
“It’s three good goals but I’ve spent 20 minutes telling him to actually turn forward and run forward.
“I thought he spent a lot of time not actually engaging their backline.
“When he engages the backline, he’s a massive threat.
“We just spoke with him about it in the week. He’s good in 1v1s and he’s a very good finisher.

“We want him to be using that more often.
“Rather than dropping deep and creating the play, he needs to trust our players to get the ball to him in dangerous areas.
“When he gets that ball, he can accelerate the game.
“When he accelerates the game, he’s brilliant to watch and he’s very, very ruthless as well.
